Botanical Blooms Birthday Card

Have you ordered the Botanical Blooms Bundle yet? If not, you only have until May 31st! You’ll still be able to order the stamp set and thinlits dies after that, but you’ll have to order them separately, and you won’t be able to get the gorgeous Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper anymore!

Take a look at this card. I used the three coordinating products – the stamp set, thinlits, and designer series paper – to create this fun 3-D card!

Goodbye To Best Thoughts

One of my personal favorites  from the 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog is the Best Thoughts Hostess Exclusive stamp set. It’s just so pretty!

The bad news is that this stamp set WILL NOT be carried over to the new 2016-2017 annual catalog. I know. Big frownie face here.

The good news? YOU CAN STILL GET IT! From now ’til May 31, 2016, when you place a qualifying order, you will receive Stampin’ Rewards dollars that you can use towards the purchase of any Stampin’ Up! product, including the Best Thoughts Hostess Exclusive stamp set!

To get your copy of the Best Thoughts Hostess Exclusive stamp set, order now through my ONLINE STORE. Remember, any order of at least $150 qualifies you for Stampin’ Rewards that you can use to purchase the Best Thoughts stamp set!

Don’t know what to order? Stampin’ Up! has many items on the Retiring List – some marked down as much as 50% – NO COUPON CODE NEEDED! Click here to see them all.

Which Retiring Item Will You Miss The Most?

Several days ago, I shared a link for you to download the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Retiring List. In case you missed it, you can see it here: Stampin’ Up! 2016 Retiring List

Now that you’ve had a few days to look over the list, which discontinued item will you miss the most?

For me, I think it’ll be everything in Blackberry Bliss – the cardstock, the ink, the ribbon, everything! It has become one of my favorite colors! I’ve known this day was coming since Stampin’ Up! introduced it nearly two years ago, but I still don’t feel ready to say goodbye to Blackberry Bliss! That’s why I’ve stocked up on this color, and you should do the same with your favorites that have been discontinued!

Each year, the retiring InColors are among the first things to sell out when the retiring list is released, and I expect this year to be no different – this is the time to restock your favorite colors that are retiring!

For delivery directly to you, order through my ONLINE STORE – alternatively, you can call, email, or text me to place an order.

Feel Goods Stamp Set Card Ideas

When you send a card with one of the phrases from the Feel Goods stamp set from Stampin’ Up!, it really does make the recipient feel good! This sweet stamp set has five phrases that are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face!

feel-goods-emboss-resist Here are a few ideas for you, using the Feel Goods stamp set:

For this first card, I stamped the saying onto Watercolor paper using Versamark ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder. I used my Aquapainter to add a color wash in soft shades of green and teal – this is called the Emboss Resist technique, and it really makes the words “pop”!

For the second card, I combined another phrase with a die-cut label and a bunch of die-cut flowers in bright colors.

Beach-Scene-Mouse-MatThe third project isn’t a card at all – it’s a mouse pad! I came across a customizable mouse pad on a clearance rack one day, and I just knew that I could use it to brighten up my desk! And the phrase “The Best Things In Life Aren’t Things”, from the Feel Goods stamp set, pretty much sums up my attitude towards life!

So, do you love the Feel Goods stamp set as much as I do? If so, and you don’t already own it, here’s the bad news – Stampin’ Up! is discontinuing this stamp set at the end of May.

The good news? It is still available! Just go to my ONLINE STORE now to order your very own set!

Stampin’ Up! 2016 Retiring List

Each spring, we anxiously await the arrival of the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalog.

But before we can get our hands on all of the amazing new stamps and accessories, we have to make room for the new by saying goodbye to the old.

Stampin’ Up! released the 2016 Retiring List a couple of days ago – if you haven’t seen it yet, you can download your copy here:

Stampin’ Up! 2016 Retiring List

Here’s how the list works:

  • All retiring stamps will continue to be manufactured until May 22
  • Everything else – punches, embellishments, cardstock, patterned paper, etc., is only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST
  • Many items are marked down – some as much as 50% off
  • Expect items to sell out quickly – this is the time to restock your favorite colors that are retiring! Do you have an ink refill for that Blackberry Bliss stamp pad? Enough Lost Lagoon cardstock to finish that project?

  • For delivery directly to you, order through my ONLINE STORE – alternatively, you can call, email, or text me to place an order.

Crystal Effects Stained Glass Technique

Recently, I was playing with my stamps, and this idea came to me! You see, I’ve been wanting to find a way to create a stained glass look on a Window Sheet. And as I looked through my various supplies, it hit me – Crystal Effects dries clear!

sparkly-stained-glass-best-To get this look, I stamped the hydrangea image, from the Best Thoughts Hostess Exclusive Set, onto a Window Sheet, using Versamark.

***Be sure to rub you Embossing Buddy across the Window Sheet before you stamp – plastic is especially static-y!***

Next, I sprinkled black Stampin’ Emboss Powder over the stamped image, shook off the excess powder, then melted the powder with my Heat Tool.

***Be sure to keep your Heat Tool moving to prevent melting and warping the plastic Window Sheet!***

Now comes the fun part! I spread Crystal Effects over the back of the stamped & embossed image using my Aquapainter. I placed drops of several colors of ink onto a paper plate, then used my Aquapainter to pick up the colors and mix them with the Crystal Effects already on the Window Sheet.

***Tip – don’t let your image get too wet. Keep a dry paper towel handy to dab off the extra moisture.***

Once you’ve finished coloring your image, set it aside to dry – mine actually took a couple of days before it was dry enough to work with, so be patient!!!

When it’s dry enough to work with, mount your “stained glass” onto a piece of Glimmer Paper to add even more sparkle, then finish your card as desired!

Leave me a comment & tell me what you think of this fun new technique!
